Hello all,
Just registered here after getting out of the import tuner stage of my life (still got it in me a little), and got a hand-me-down '98 3.2tl. The car was my moms and last month she got an '04 TL aspec, so i got the gen. 1. I leave the comfort of knowing everything about my little eg6 (93 honda civic) coupe to stepping up in class and technology(for that point in time). Im here to learn everything there is to know about my car and maybe add a few mods along the way... but always keep it classy. In the month that ive owned the car i have only gotten the windows tinted @ 20%, but i am also currently in an auction for some factory acura RL wheels (2005 model). Some minor here and theres may come along later, but im using this car as a kindof break from the constant urge to pour money into a little civic, that got robbed and almost stolen 3 times. If anyone has any ideas for my car, please offer them, as i have not seen too many around that arent stock. Also i am considering looking into getting new headlight assembly, and possibly smoked lower front turn signals......tell me what you think of these, along the concept of "clean" and "classy"...throw in a link if you can. Thanks guys.

They're not going to fit.
I can't find the sources because Acura's website is a nightmare to navigate (flash interface). Just trust me on this one. The new RL and Ridgeline uses 120 x 5.
The OLD 3.5RL (1996-2004) used 114.3 x 5 bolt size. If you're getting new RL wheels they won't fit. If you're getting old 3.5RL wheels no problem.
Remember that the RL was completely redesigned for 2005. The old one used to be called the 3.5RL. They dropped the numerals.
Even with the redesign, any TL/3.2TL wheel will fit bolt wise. However, the A-Spec TL wheel will not fit because it is too wide (18 x 8.5).

Ok....just seached around some more and found the same info you told me...kinda disappointed b/c i thought they would look pretty sweet on there, and the bid was a steal at 255 for an undamaged set plus 100 for s/h.
Next question is does anyone have a set of '04+ TL wheels in good condition for sale? Or could you throw some names of some aftermarket wheels that are classy and clean? The stock swirlies work on an integra/civic but just arent cuttin it on the sedan..lol jk

TSX wheels are 17" instead of 18" so there's plenty of clearance.
And they are narrower, like Petie said.
I suspect if you keep the car at stock height, it can take 04 TL wheels except it might rub on bumps.

Dude, the factory standard wheel for the '04+ (non Aspec) IS a 17" wheel...thats not the issue...i could put 19's on it without having to modify anything. the issue lies in the width of the wheel, which is 8", and which i couldnt imagine if it didnt clear

That's why Petie mentioned the TSX. Its' A-Spec wheel is exactly the same design as the TL except it is 17 instead of 18.
Don't condescend to people. We're just trying to help you out.
