Need a quick answer from you guys with clear bumper lights please.

I just got my clear bumper lights and was going to install them, realized I would need some amber bulbs to replace the clear ones. Pulled the bulbs, called napa, they show that ambers are not available in either the 7440 bulb or the 168 bulb.

What are you guys using for bulbs?

Thanks,

Mark

I'm pretty sure If you can't get 7440 or 168, there is another size, called 197, that will work. Some guy at the auto parts store told me that 197 is the same size but operates at 1 watt higher. I'm not sure if that's true, but it doesn't matter anyway. I bought some amber 197s to replace my turn signals. I have quite a weird configuration for my lights. My big clear corners are the parking lights (white), the side clear corners as well, and my turn signal is the light beside the headlight, and my fogs are normal. get 197's or 168 or 7440

Well, I found the link for the DIY but its about changing to a dual filament, not about amber colored bulbs.sooooo, I found that the 168/194na exhange but the 7440/7443 series bulbs don't come in amber.

What are you guys using for amber bulbs to replace the 7440s?

Nevermind: Found out that the MDX's use a wedge style amber bulb that will work. Thanks though.

I have amber 7440 wedge LED bulbs behind the clear lenses, and they look sweet because they are clear when off and orange when the signal is flashing.

Go LED and you won't be disappointed.... just make sure that you get the kind that are larger with a lot of LEDs with a wide angle. Otherwise you might have a hard time seeing the turn signal when it's sunny outside.

Off mine look kinda gunmetal-ish, on they are hyper-white. LEDs FTW!

~Cheers~
