My right headlight is smashed. Stupid shopping cart in the middle of the street. http://www.acuraoemparts.com has the oem brand new for $366 thats about the same price for a pair of jdm lights and im liking the jdm lights. Does enebody know were i can get these jdm lights? i have searched everywhere from ebay to this site starting with the very first thread of this forum 100 so pages. i need to get my baby back all nice n purrty....thnx in advance guys.....

 

arent jdm headlights the same as the ones we have here? Unless you're talking about black housings? i believe those are aftermarket in japan as well. stock ua2/ua3 have clear headlights same we have here. if i remember correctly, NEW jdm black headlight housings were 500 excluding shipping.

 

Don't JDM lights have a diffrent beam battern also, since they drive on the opposite side?

yep, diff beam pattern. usdm right side flares up higher hence jdm left side flares up. so if you get the jdm headlights, you'll be blinding on-coming vehicles.

 

just find some cheap oem ones, and find someone who will paint them black. thats the only differnece with ours and jdm in terms of appearance, just paint the chrome part flat black.

 

FYI: my jdm black housing cost me around 1300 us.. picked them up in japan 2 yrs ago. the light pattern is reversed as some of you guys said. i don't recommend them for a daily driven car. and as for the black housing itself, the honda inspired type-s came with either black chrome or black housing lamps. the black housing lamps are not flat black, but a metallic black. and dont forget the corner lamps, the usdm corner lamps use small wedge type bulbs why the jdm ones use a larger bulb. you have to get new sockets and rewire them.

 

I have JDMs...I'm in Japan. I can look around but they are hard to come by....

 

the beam patterns are differnt, i dont suggest you get JDm ones

 

I have the JDM black housing ones and i just adjusted the beam a little and no one ever flashes me and i dirve the car daily. my car is also lowered an inch and i have an extra headlight (jdm black ) with pretty minor damage if blinky want to only look for a passeneger side light i would sell you the extra one i got if you would like. Would prolly be cheaper than buying a new set.
