Need air intake hose......
Need air intake hose......
I got a tear on my intake hose. Having problems finding the part online. My friend recommends I buy a whole intake while I'm at it. A Weapon R from eBay. I would like to purchase the hose only, unless I have to pay for the whole thing. Anyone have any idea where I might be able to find the part?
No local junkyard had any TL's. Aside from getting the weapon R from eBay, I might go to am Acura dealer and see if they can help me out.
Here are some pictures of the tear.....

very easy man!
measure the diameter of the hose.
go to home depot and pick up some pvc pipe of the same diameter.
pick up some 90 degree bends as well.
pick up a cone air filter.
then, have fun playing tetris!
you can either make a short ram intake
or a cold air intake, making sure the bends and the pipe run down to an opening in the bumper.

Two possibilities:
1) car-part.com - look online, call yards and ask for a part. Most will mail the part to you. I've done this several times w/ good results.
2) Take the part off, clean w/ soap/water, dry, and wrap w/ good quality wide black upholstrey tape (1-1.5" width). This will hold until you work out a long term solution.
W/ the MAF in the duct, I would stay away from CAI's.
good luck
