I have a 97 2.5 and my muffler fell off as well fortunately
it happened in my driveway. I got it replaced but i don't like the new one, it's too bulky looking for me

^ Most people can't tell. Seriously.

I doubt it was OEM, probably an OE replacement from Midas or something.

Mine was starting to come loose between the cat and the muffler, I took it to the shop and had them weld it up for $40, now it's solid. I do hear a slight air leak somewhere in there...ah well.
