its been a loooong time since ive posted...sometimes i think no news is good news...so you guessed it-bad news.... got in a wreck a few days ago...motorcycle Tboned my pass. side door. dude was only goin about 25 caue he barrel rolled ova my hood and on the ground. while he is ok, my car ishurtn. The insurance company called today and TOTALED my car. now let me mention that she is in pristene condition with only 120k. she still purrrs like a kitten-done all the little things, spoiler, lowering kit, rainguards, eyelids, timing belt, high output alt. tv subs, bla bla bla, the hole nine... nowi only have 6 month on my payments THEN SHE'S ALL MINE!!! well she was gonna be...
insurance is offering 2 options, need feedback on what to do

Pass door, hood, front qtr panel, f. bumper, bumper lites&head.....(the big one) a small bend in the front uniframe?(cant b too bad from a bike at 20...)
options
1. total her out and after loan paid get about 4500-5k back for whateva(was sooo close to no carpayment)

2.total her out, i get 6700, buy back car for 700 and get her fixed with the 6g.

i do have a friend that does autobody and hes gonna be taking a look at it 2moro to see how bad but hes sure he can fixit on the side, frame and all, but it will take time, on the side. who knows i might even b able 2 get it fixed and pay it off with the money...did i mention i hate carpayments and was sooo close 2 gettn mmy own scooter...

another reason the insurance guy decided to total it was due to lack of used parts out there...any ideas(if i do get her fixed) for GOOD used parts or aftermarket body parts?

total it, get paid the $6700, buy it back for 700 and part it out on here.... use the remaining 6k+whatever $$ you make parting it out and buy a different car (1g TL of course).... you always run into problems when fixing up a car from an accident like that.. even though it seems like it's all cosmetic damage, there's always something going on underneath (like the little bend in the frame could turn into a bigger problem).. good luck

is something like parting it out diffucult? its sooo hard to let go when i kno wher inside and out. ive een stored her every winter so shes got no rust...pooof, gone

that sucks to hear, but if you're parting it out and the airbag steering wheel cover isnt messed up, id like to buy it probably, and possibly even the drivers side interior door handle

I've never parted out a car, but I would say that between here and ebay, you've got a pretty good chance of making some $$.. there is always that random part that someone wants and will pay a few bucks for.. plus you figure all of the extras you've put into your car you can make even more $$.. good luck man.

thats so sad man... Just so you know i was just able to find a 96 with 112K for 5,600... so maybe you can find something for your 6 grand... btw what aftermarket parts do you have on it? cause I might be interested

Get $5k
or
Get $6k + you car back?

Seems like a no brainer?
