Good stuff! Can't do that reliably without a bypass filter here because of the hills, inherent puddles and rain, hehe. I'm considering ram-air, though...

~Cheers~

Haha, is that a stove pipe coupler?

Looks good though. I might do a CAI setup on mine at some point.

what happens when it's raining? is your engine is going to get a drink of water or what?

That's all myth. Nothing will happen unless the car is submerged in water.

it is actually quieter than the short ram... so i kinda like it better... it also gives off a nice little puff of air when i let off the gas (kinda like a blow-off valve sound)... as for performance, i haven't gotten WOT on it yet... i am trying to do all these catch up mods before a few of us go to the track on the 12th...

were you close to red lining when you punched the gas? If not, you will when you buy that tube.

looking good so far.. as for the coupler, i just got a 3 inch to 3 inch silicone coupler for turbo piping.. i did my cai back in the days but i thought i would share some old ass photos of my setup.. i took mine cai off a long time ago to smog the car and i've been to lazy to reinstall it.. these are the only photos i could find... as for performance, when i installed mine, it seemed like i lost some torque off the line but gained a lot on highway speeds.. to my recollection, there was very little different in 1/4 miles.. i think it was around .1-.3 off my 1/4 times, but i'm guessing its more of the weather factor than the intake itself... oh yea, one more thing.. it seemed like i was getting a little better gas mileage, but again, too many variables to factor out before i can acutally figure out the actual gas mileage.. let us know if you notice any difference with your cai.. gl on your project..
