Does the maintenece light in the dash needs to be reset after service, if so does the dealer has to reset it or I can reset the light?

 

You can reset it yourself, jus take a pen and push the black part till it resets to green. If you want my opinion I think this is a gimmick to make you bring your car in for service at the dealer..
My light changed to red. I took it in and the dealer said everything was fine. I still usually abide by it, even though I know many Honda and Acura owners who say they do not pay any attention to it

 

yeah you can just reset it manually, just put your valet key into the key hole and that should change that ugly red to a pretty green. i've done it many times, cause the maintinance people either forget to reset it or the timing is wrong on the light.

Nope, only for scheduled maintenances. Atleast that's how my car is...

 

I don't think that it turns red every 3000 miles but 6000 miles. It turns from green to orange color then red. When you get your oil change at the dealer, they always or most of the time forget to reset the maintenance light. You just have to remind yourself, everytime. It's not a big deal, if it turns red, just stick the your car key into the slot on the dash, and it'll go back to green.
