maintanance on 2.5
after replacing some gaskets i felt it would be time to replace oil an fluids. with the lack of manuals around i need to know if i could get some insight on where the plugs actually are!? on a civic they are pretty obvious but with this "bastard motor" for whatever reason ive heard too many people call this 2.5 i want to make sure i know where it is.
ive located the differential fluid plug from the diy but oil plug? i opened up a plug and almost 9 quarts came out thickest sludge ive ever seen. im sure it has been a while since the last oil change but 9 quarts im sure ive got the wrong plug.
it had a "motor oil" stamp on the pan i hope this is correct can someone provide the manual location of the plug? or a picture from the 2.5 motor that i may see?

The oil drain plug should be a 17mm bolt located towards the front center of the car. If I'm not mistaken, the "hex" end faces the passenger side and there should be wordings on the pan indicating "oil drain bolt."

hehe yea i was pretty sure it was the drain bol it was just odd that almost 9 quarts came out, i should only use about 5 quarts into the system is this correct?

Did not know where to introduce myself, so here I am.
I am from North York, ON, Canada and just been gifted a 2.5 TL which needs quite some work to bring it to he standard. Will try to post some photos soon as I am working on it.
Well, I would like to know what are the things you guys will suggest I do given following scenario.
The car has been sitting for quite some months, no oil in engine
The guy has been mistreating the car... He went into a pole, headlight and fender gone and he just left the car sitting like this. I want to get it into a nice condition.
Please I will need a lot of help and support.
If anyone from around, would be great to meet up too...
I am looking at putting
a battery soon,
changing the oil or rather putting oil in engine,
changing differential
and transmission oil,
the coolant seems to be pretty ok,
Would like advice on power steering, brake and abs fluids... how to change etc?

Why wouldn't there be oil in the engine? I would remove the oil plug and drain what's left before adding new oil. Don't forget the oil filter, pour some oil in a new one and spin it back on.
As for the fluid changes, this is how I would do it:
Power steering: Remove one of the lower lines from the reservoir to drain the fluid that's in there. Reinstall the line and fill with new Honda power steering fluid. Before starting the engine, turn steering wheel all the way to left then right to bleed any air in the system. This method does not change all of the fluid, but rather a good portion of it.
ABS: There is a bleeder valve somewhere on the module. Attach a hose to the nipple and put into a container submerged in brake fluid. Open the bleeder valve slowly a little at a time, with engine off shortly after turning it off, to let oil fluid out. Do not let fluid level drop low! Fill and redo this until fluid looks clean. You have to restart the car everytime the bleeder valve has been opened to build up pressure again.
Brake fluid: Simply bleed your brakes at four wheels since you might need to do this anyways. Again, brake fluid level should not go low so fill the reservoir as needed.
Everything else you have listed should be easily found on the DIY section of this site. Welcome to the forum and good luck!
