I would go with at least a 1.5" to 1.7". I dropped my TL 1.7" and it was just right. You won't lose any ride quality. I have thin tires, rims, and lower, and it still rides like a caddy.

im riding on bachs (prokit) and the rear is actually 1.0." for me, the rear is okay, its the front thats bothering me. 1.3 in the front is not enough. well actually, its enough for me but there is a gap still and it bothers the heck out of me. Im probably confusing you lol its like...i like the gap when im driving around (fearing there is a box/dead animals/speed bumps out on the street but as far as looks go..that gap bothers the f*ck out of me. as i said before, the rear is perfect! if i were you, id go for the eibach sportlines

cut springs = bouncy = cut life span of shocks even MORE sooner. in other words...DON'T CUT YOUR SPRINGS!

for cheap eibachs, try www.groupbuycenter.com

why don't you just wait until Tein comes out with springs for us. im guessing its going to drop like 1.5" in the front and 1" in the back or something along the lines of that. it might cost 245 a set though..somewhere around the same price as eibachs

Cutting springs is a horrible idea. Ride quality will be crap and will that doing that severely reduces the life of your shocks. Weigh 250 or so for springs over several hundred for an entirely new suspension.

I think that the eibach springs were designed to be used with stock shocks, so you should be fine.

im rockin the stock shocks as well. It will eventually blow. I know this b/c my cousin also has a 1st gen with prokit and his shocks are gone. he got the springs long time ago though..like back in 97 or 98. back then, comptech sold springs...which were actually eibach prokits.
