So I realized that I lost my keys today including my remote unlock thingy. Lost the key to my 2.5tl, my brinks safebox, and my apartment. Now that the apartment key isn't too important because I can copy my roommate's, but I'm going to need my safebox key and car key within a week. Is there anything I can do?

 

call yor local lock smith, or you acura dealer w/ vin # and proff of owner ship..

 

I just found my spare key in my laptop bag, but it's a little bent, so hopefully it'll still work. Now I just need to get that lockbox open and get another keyless entry.

 

you can bring proof of ownership and your VIN # to the dealer and they will cut you a new key. The remote can usually be found here and there on ebay or you can pick up one from the acura or honda dealer and reprogram it (might be cheaper at the Honda dealer)

 

if you have anything of large value in your lockbox, i would say take care of that first, after all, you car is still in your driveway, or underground garage, whatever.

I would suggest getting the lock on your box changed, in case your keys were stolen by someone you knew

Thanks for the feedback guys, I'll be sure to check in with the honda dealer here at state college. I'll go to the locksmith to get my lockbox opened later today, got some exams to take first. I need it open soon cus I'll need my passport and green card when i go visit my parents in china over christmas, but I doubt anyone's looking to steal those. At least I hope they don't want to steal my passport...

 

I suspect it was a "friend" and former business partner who stole my car and the $14K of stuff inside. I posted about it on the boards awhile back. I had just gotten the car not too long before that happened.
