Lights

Hey guys,

I haven't had my TL long enough to add any mods to it but I have been thinking about getting some blue lights. I tried searching other forums about this topic but I didn't find the answer to my question. basically, I want to get the lights but I don't know if I should just get the bulbs or the whole kit. what would be the difference between getting bulbs ($30-$40 right) or the whole kit with the ballast (atleast $300?). What is the wattage I need for the bulbs on my 97 3.2?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Derrick

There is a HUGE difference between those bulbs. The cheap bulbs are supposed to LOOK like the $400 bulbs. The $30 ones are called Superwhite and the $400 ones are HID. The HIDs are sooo much brighter and nicer looking. Most new luxury cars come with them Audi's, Benz's, BMW's, Lexus', Acura's, Infiniti's. f you do get Superwhites, get low wattage like 55 watt because higher wattage might burn out your headlight plugs. I would save your money and get HIDs. They last alot longer, look alot nicer, are alot brighter, and wont damage anything. Good luck and ask me if you need any more help.

Definitely save up for some hids. I has some super whites before for about a year and one of the bulbs ended up popping, leaving fog and debris. I just installed some HELLA hids a few weeks ago and it looks so much brighter now.
