let's break it :)

well, after many weeks of having wavey brakes (i'm guessing the rotors are in the midst of warping, etc.), i'm bout to order some x-drilled. i'm gonna get the kvr performance rotors since i've already had experience with their products and company, and have been completely satisfied.

my ? is this: anything special i should know about changing the brakes? i have a 96 TL 2.5, and don't wanna be surprised, etc. i've never had to change brakes on a car with ABS, so not sure if that makes any diff. i'll probably just go with semi-metallic brake pads to cut down on the squeeks. i hope this makes a huge diff. on the braking (it has to!). thanks all

sooo... what do you want us to help you break???

There shouldn't be anything that much diffrent from any other car you've done... the speed censors for the ABS might be located at each wheel... but thats it... other then that... nothing diffrent... I wouldn't know what they look like or where they are... but i'm guessing our cars have the four channel, four censor ABS... The censor most likely is located on the caliper... if you are going to change those... you might want to look into where and what the speed censor is... Ken... thats all i have to say... he might know... I'll look into it too... during my lunch tomorrow at work...

but other then that... there shouldn't be anything else you should worry about...

Ok... here we go... like i said... i would look into it today... here's a pic to let you know how and what the speed senor looks like... Note: This pic is from a 1991 3000GT...

for more info... http://www.vr4stealth.com/abs_speed_sensor_cleaning.htm

hope that helps... nothing to worry about really... you can clean it though while you are down there... you wouldn't want your breaks acting up in the long run...
