knocking !! knocking my car is knocking

after driving my 2.5TL for 300miles yesterday, i stopped and filled my tank with premium fuel! after another 75miles, i heard this knocking sound coming from my car. it gets louder as i accelerate and also when i apply the break. the engine sounds normal it's only when i'm accelertating that i hear this annoying sound. Anybody with a similar experience here? I need help

Apparantly knocking had nothing to do with tranny or fuel; it was my lose brake pads rubbing against my worn out brake calipers. weird-after $220, my car is back to normal. Drove for another 400miles today

i would have brought it back to the place who installed your pads, unless you did it yourself? you could have saved yourself 220.
