Just Like That...

I dropped $2000 into the TL that i didnt plan on dropping into it...
Getting Tranny Rebuilt at 167k + Oil Leak Fixed + Shocks Installed...
Plus i dont have a car to drive around for a week...
Plus i get to miss a week of work...

Damn that sucks. That common for trannys to go bad around that mileage? Well glad your getting it fixed. Enjoy the time off, hehe.

That shouldn't take too long at all, a couple hours at the most.

I'm always weary when someone else performs on my car unless it's someone I really know and trust.

Otherwise 90% of the stuff I do it myself.

I think the only thing I had to bring it to a shop (my uncle's) was changing the rear transmission mount.

nope... for all i know, i thought i was the only first gen with inspires at UCR... ive seen a couple other first gens at riverside but dont know who drives em...

i say we stalk him/her and find out

IIRC, you live close to me, I was able to just walk into First Acura and have them do it, I have never had to schedule anything there. I think it is because it is their new location and they don't have as much of a customer base yet. I believe they used to be Acura of Newport.

it was there again all day yesterday at the visitors spot at grand marc.. yea we should stalk them so i can jack their inspires :thief:

a family friend is doing it for me...
he's rebuilding the tranny, fixing the damn oil leak i have, installing my koni yellows, and fixing anything else that is old/needs to be fixed on the car

so the estimate i have up to date is approx. $1800... but ill find out next week when i go pick up my car

hey, I got a question about your konis... on the front set is there a brake line bracket? and on the rears where is the dampening adjustment?

you know what i don't really know... ill give it a check once i get the car back... hell to be honest i havent even taken them out of the box before i gave it to the guy to put on my car...
