Fmu=Fuel Management unit
It a mechanism to add more fuel when adding turbo.

This summer I will be working on a turbo project for the 2.5 TL.
I've been under my car for like the 20th time analyzing the f**king thing on where to put what where, and I feel confident enough to weld pipe sh*t.
The only problem Im having is increasing the fuel once more air has been added.
Ive been to a few forums and studied the picture of the other dude's turbo TL.
Someone in this forum already has a turbo on their car, and I was wondering what method this person use to increase the fuel.
My guess is he/her is using the FMU method.
I've looked at other methods to do this ,but its too complicated at this point. FMU comes with a trade off. But Cartech caims to have one where its adjustable. But,Since I never use one of these, I thought maybe someone who used it before can enlighting me alittle on where to place it. Along with the FMU, I will be upgrading the fuel pump and injectors to a diesel one. So I may need you guys help on removing the injectors and fuel pump. As for the exhaust mainfold, I will be welding my own out of steel pipes. I havent figure out what to do with the oxygen sensor on the oem exhaust manifold yet. I dont know if its needed for the car to function properly. Also, if I remove the catalytic convertor, would I get black, dizzy smoke coming out of my exhaust?

I have no idea on the answer to your question.

You might wanna sign up over at FYCRacing.com It's local, and a lot of turbo'd guys there, along with a couple fabrication shops if you need their service too.
