Ignition question on 98 2.5TL

THe car starts, but it seems to take longer to turnover. I don't have to try mulitple times, it just takes longer than the rest of my cars. Is there something I can do? Plugs, wires? Any suggestions? Is this normal on our cars?

Hmmm...interesting. Mine starts almost instantly. How many miles do you have? I guess you should start by changing the plugs and wires. If that doesn't help, then the engine might not be getting fuel. Change the fuel filter. Do the usual maintenance stuff. Good luck!

I've done plugs and wires on other cars so that should be pretty straight forward. Where is the fuel filter on our cars?

Thanks

i have the same "problem" - not sure whether this IS a problen. On a cold morning, (car parked overnight in garage), i have to crank for aprrox 1.5 to 2.5seconds before engine catches. I recebntly had plugs, wires, ignition coils etc. changed in emissions recall service, bu that hasn't changed anything with respect ot hte problem. I was however, told to change the fuel filter, which I still haven't got around to doing....so this indeed may be the problem.

Please tell me (and the rest of us) how it works out. Thanks and good luck.
