ignition problem

NuB here, I have 95'TL and my problem is this. My car just died on me as I was exiting a driveway. I placed it in park and cranked it over again but as soon as I released the key, when it turned over, it died. It starts right up but when the key is released it dies. I can keep it running by not fully releasing the key after it starts. Could it be the ignition switch or the ignition cylinder lock or neither? Help

Check for a faulty relay.

Does the key stay in the on position (II) or does it go all the way back to the ACC position (I) when you release it?

it's the ignition switch or cylinder. That exact thing happened to me - I had to drive to the service center with the key halfway betwwen 'ignition' and 'start' Kinda numbs your wrist after about 5 minutes..funny feeling...
