I just got down changing the oil, spark plugs, air filter on my 1996 Acura tl 3.2 with 333, 474 miles and a nd last month I got it payed off after letting it set up in Mississippi for a whole year. Got new tires last week next I going to get a alignment and licence plates.

 

welcome!!! its pretty slow round here these days it seems. im new too. couple peeps stay checking in though with lots of good info so your in the right spot. you car has ALL the miles ever made on it. nice to see it hangin in there.

Ok so now iam back at home in Mission,Tx. Now I have traveled around 1500 mile in my acura in three days and I think that is pretty damn cool. But their was only draw back. I think my ac compressor went out but I will check itout a little better tmrw. Also after the first long trip from shreveport,la to nettleton,ms my power steering pump went out and I replaced it. But I also found out that even if a power steering system has no filter u can but one in the loop. So iam thinking putting it in this weekend so my new pump and rack & penion will last longer.

 

How did you replace the PS pump, while on the road or a shop?

 

Mandy I changed the ps pump when I got to mississippi from shreveport la. I got my own tools. Iam a jack of all trades. It took me 20 minutes to take it off, but one hour to put it back on cause u gotta take off the belt for the ac compresser and alternater. Oh also I changed right outside my motherinlaws house.

Rudy its nice to see you still ticking at over 300k. I just got one and it has 130k on it. I replaced the timing belt and water pump, changed the spark plugs with plat. and upgraded the breaking system with cross drilled and slotted rotors and ceml. pads. I replaced the ac compressor. I also had to replace the exhaust from the cat. Ordered all the parts on amizon and ebay for about $800.00 paid $1200.00 for labor. All I have to do is change the dif and brake fluid. Oh i also got 2 new tires and an alignment.

 

Wow u paid a lot in labor! I saved bout 1000.00 doing the work myself. But it does take a stack or two to get a acura working 100%. With all the work u got done and what u got coming it should get to 300,000 with no problem. I think iam gonna wait on my ac and get it fixed in the middle of winter maybe parts will b cheaper. I also just ordered a double d touch screen cause the cd player that was in it got stolen by a pro cause he or she did not break anything. Good luck let know whenever u get new work and I will do the same.
