A while ago someone posted that they noticed a decline in posts for the 1st Gen. TL. I believe this is very true. It seems the information train for the true luxo TL has run out of steam. I feel Acura and the aftermarket tuners have been really unfair to us 1st Gen. owners. Acura made it almost impossible to tinker with our luxo toys. 90% of the time we can't cross-reference any parts with any other Acura/Honda. Besides our car and the RL, alot of the other H/A parts are interchangable. Why the he11 did honda do this to us? Its definitly not cost effective. Wouldn't it be nice to have an option to buy a Jackson supercharger for our car or a turbocharger kit. I'm not talking about an all balls out racing kit, but something to give her more venom. Yeah there's NOS, but screw the blue bottle, thats only temporary speed. Sh1t, even the Metro has an aftermarket turbo kit. We get a$$ raped on the suspension also, I mean what gives. NO AFTERMARKET STRUTS! I'm getting the RSX, but I'm keeping my TL and I still want to tinker with it. Can't we get a petition going, one to KYB or Koni and to HKS or Jackson. Maybe if we get enough people they will produce struts and superchargers for us. What do you guys think?
Sorry for such a long post, but I just had to vent my frustration.

Easy down now cowboy ...you all don't realize that our 1st Gen cars are reaching the 4-7 year old mark. Who would want to carry stock of aftermarket parts for our TLs? It would be smart not to ..that is ...if they want to stay in business. These cars are luxo sedans ...they are made to be luxo sedans ..why would someone want to sup them up like a sports car ..it doesn;t make sense.

Yeah, that explains that lack of aftermarket support, not just for our luxury sedan but all of them...it sucks i know but if not I guess you could trade it in for a sports car...???

one thing i realize is that we're the only 1st gen TL board out there. i mean before this site was up, i really didn't know any other TL owners. i mean that's like 4 years after i bought my car!!! i think if we had a forum back then, maybe we could've had a bigger impact. but now, i doubt they'll make anything for us.

i dont know why they have more go-fast goodies for the 2nd gen TL's than 1st gens.. hmmmmm they're just haters. as for complaining to koni or whatever, dont complain to them...........COMPLAIN TO THE ACURA PEOPLE!!! start off with COMPTECH! fawk them! if comptech dont have sh*t for our cars then you can forget about complaining to the other manufactors. comptech is suppose to have stuff for mostly acura's! i gave up complaining about this. i have brought up this subject long time ago... i was browsing through this site for parts for our car and like maybe 2 items were specifically for our car(tail lights and bumper lights). the rest are universal fit crap... i was to the point of leaving this site and not post anymore! for real..... our only hope is "valuetl"! i really give him props for everything he has done for us. Tim has done a lot for us too....dont get me wrong but i feel he just gave up on us! *sigh* what to do.....what to do......

Ya I agree there aint **** for our cars. There is a ton of stuff for the 2nd gen tl's. I can understand, these are luxo sedans, so most people that own them don't supe them up. That explains the poor aftermarket support. I will just be patient, and do what I can to my TL.

we might have less sport in us than our younger brothers the 2nd gens, but I think everyone here will agree with me that our body design is waay better than theirs. (classier, more stylish yet still dope looking)...

man if i had more money i'd be more creative the navi system thing was fun, but i'm way too low on funds to keep it.
