Yeah man you are so right, but hey we are slowly but surely finding stuff for this great 100% japanese car unlike the 2nd genertion TL
It totally pisse me off that we basically have the forgotten car of the u.s aftermarket world. When after all our car is a damn Acura. What is more annoying is the fact the CL 97-99 old body has more sh*T than out car. Comptech makes an entire body kit for that piece of sh*t and does not make jack for our car man!!
Our car does not get the respect it truley deserves because of the lack of parts available, and that pisses me off more than anything. My car has whipped a 528i before, so I dunno why we are not respected.
I think its about to be a new day though man. Especially withthe possiblity of getttint the Mugen stuff. We gotta b patient man. I know its hard.

word! i think 97slammedTL couldn't have said it better.. its hard but we got the mugen goodies coming our way. we dont have many parts for our car and when we finally do...its from mugen LOL now i got to save up big time for these parts! oh well, we might get more parts for our car and if we do, its going to be "slowly but surely" once again...i know its hard but lets all hang in there and maybe let tim (snook) know that we are waiting for our parts to be available. im sure he hasn't forgotten about us but who knows?

Talking

also ironic, i have run into more than a few 2gen TL owners that have said that they would rather have the 1gen body type. it has more of the classy, blunt look sort of like the LS400. the 2gen has the pointy look which just dosen't spin my crank.

and when you do find a mod for your ride, dosen't it feel more rewarding? civ's and teg's have every f'n accessory for them. no one is doing anything that a million people haven't done already.

in the 'fast and the hilarious' did you guys see anything that you haven't seen yet? (except the N20 setup in the 3gen RX7) probably not.

so don't feel too bummed that there are no parts for our dope rides. maybe its better that way. i kinda like the POOgen parts that were posted a few days ago. i might consider gettin' some. probably start with the grille and airdam..............................

actually if u think about it its not the greatest but its better that they dont mke alot of stuff for our rides cause that just makes us have t customize it and to me its all the little stuff that counts

believe me brother, you can, you just gotta work alot harder at it start with basics: rims, drop, clear lenses, x-bulbs.

well imo, 17's ain't tiny

but if you do get the proper 18's, they should fit perfect
i'm pretty sure you can find 18's with a high offset.. especially if you get 3 piece wheels or soemthing

I have 18x7.5 with a 45 offset and 225/40/18 tires and they rub only in the back and my cars not even dropped! Usually wheels with a higher offset are big $$$$$ like Lowenhart, Racing Hart, Alstadt... I'm gonna have to get the quarter panels trimmed. Try to get a higher offset and maybe a thinner tire.

17x7, 215/45 zr17 on my cheap HyperX wheels, dropped about 1.5front, 2"rear. i rub only when backing in or out of parking stalls. (reversing 90 degrees) only front tires rub.

The 1st gen TL looks WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY better than the new one.

Same problem with ES 300, few people hook up these cars, but when u do, it makes it that more original.

Good luck!
