How to remove the transmission control module (computer)

If anyone has replaced their TCM, transmission control module, in the 2.5 TL, I would like to know how did you remove the unit from under the passenger side dash right behind the glove box?
I need to replace mine. I removed the glove box door but it looks way behind the ABS unit and could not figure out how to remove it without unbolting everything else attached to it.
I looked in the manual but it does not say how to remove the TCM.
If anyone has any idea please let me know.

When I was stripping everything from my car I had to remove it, as well as other modules that were there. There are basically a bunch of modules, and they are attached with these metal brackets. It's all really sandwiched together in there. I would suggest to take off as much of the plastic panels off(not to mention the glove box) in order to give yourself the most room, and then locate the module amongst all the others. The metal brackets are only held up by a few screws so it's not that bad - the problem is that everything is quite tight, so you might need to remove a few other modules before getting to the TCM.

It's hard to give good advice because there aren't many ways of going about this task.

I am going to tackle this over the weekend.
My plan is to remove the ribbon cable for the TCM and try to just connect it to my new (ebay) TCM. If I am satisfied with the result, I will than try to mount the working one right.

Thanks for your advise.
