DAMN THIS ISLAND!!! Okay i tried to find somewhere to pull up to 140+ but there is nowhere on this damn rock to go that fast before you reach a turn or a hill that a cop may be sitting on the other side of

Speed limit is governed by Manufacture's ECU

I have a 2nd Generation 2003 TL-Type S with 260 Horsepower and 232ft/lbs torque. My top speed was slightly over 230Kms/hr ( 140 MPH) with a totally stock car and no modifications. By the way, the car is extremely stable at those speeds and feels like it is going half of the actual speed limit. Car speed and motor is governed by Acura computer chip so anything over that is generally not possible without changing the computer chips or modding car with aftermarket accessories to increase the horsepower and torque. If you want to go fast, go with a V8 ( Chevrolet Corvette Z06 model) 300kms/hr or 186 MPH to V12 ( BMW M5) motor. Just prepare for accidents, speeding tickets, high maintenance costs and high fuel costs. Just my 2 cents

Well, I gone to the 120 mph mark. I was thinking just to go to 110 but a clear road ahead was too tempting. I love this car!!! It is so smooth even at that speed. I remember any other car, that I have driven, will start shaking after 100 mph. You got to have a TL

The car could have handled a little more, but it was kinda tricky holding the steering wheel with one hand and the camera with the other while passing a bunch of 18-wheelers (upper right hand corner).

Tip: Not recommended. But just in case, make sure your tires are properly inflated.

Yeah, I just went up to Boston with some friends this weekend, I was cruising around 95-105 and neither one noticed. I've got a bent rim that shakes the steering wheel up above 70 though I was talking about it with my girlfriend though, and she is up to taking a picture of me going as fast as I want...

for me, about 120 on one of the few pothole-free sections of the dc beltway- was only a mile or so- eased right up there too.... no race car, but surprisingly stable at that speed, wouldn't want to go much faster in it tho haha

Mine is a 2.5, somewhere ~130-135 is my top speed, I think closer to 130.

I've gotten mine up to 110-115. I was more amazed at how fast I hit that mark from 80. Two downshifts on the Autoshifter and I was gone baby!! My B16 civic ain't got nothing on my TL!!

monday night on my way back from irvine along highway 91 i got it up to about 125mph.. although the car was shaking like crazy at that speed (but it couldve been the shitty southern california roads), but around 110 or so it was perfectly smooth i have a 2.5TL... i couldve gone faster than 125 but i was running out of road cause of the cars in front of me and a huge turn was coming up

I got a 98 2.5 TL as you would have guessed. I've gotten mine up to 110, but i was just playing around, not really pushing it. i expect from the way it was acting it could get up to 130 maybe. i was running 33-34 psi at the time on stock rims and wheels. It ran very smoothly even at 110.

I've gotten it up to 230 kms/hr (140 mph). Scary at those speeds though if you hit something.

On Southen Cali. freeways I find myself going 90mph way too much...especially after 12:00am. The fastest I have gone was in my old 01 Accord V6 when this girl in a new Mercedes Benz C Class with its overly talked about Kompressor engine with paper plates thought she was so cool trying to tease me with a little race going uphill on the West 210 freeway after we both got out of Pasadena City College with her new $40K car. She received the shock of her life when my $ 25K Accord burned the s*** out of her Benz as we both floored it going uphill. She got stuck at about 125mph...my VTEC beauty had no problem hitting 135mph leaving her way behind. Being a small world about a week later we bumped into each other on campus and she's like..."were you the one that raced me with a white Accord last week?" Im like..."if you were driving a new Mercedes... yes...that was me" Then she goes...you modified the engine huuu?...I go nope...my car is automatic and all stock. We both had a good laugh and I ended up telling her...never underestimate the power of a Honda V6 engine.

I think i was doin 115 on a highway with other cars? Yeah another reason why I love this damn car, it handles GREAT at high speeds, feels like your flying.

EDIT: California-USA, awesome story haha

I raced a 98-like escort the other day, i was thinking "whats the matter, cant pass 95?" haha
