The bottom clips come loose easy but the two that are on top seem to be screwed in? Does the door panel have to come off for the grill to come off? Are the front speakers 5.25?

 

Front speakers are 6 1/2. You must remove the door panel(well you dont have to it a lot easier that way). Then remove the screws around the whit plastic and your speaker is removed.

 

I find it easier if you roll down your windows all the way prior to doing this. once you get the bottom clips off, run your fingers up along the sides of the panel and just pull it off. if you want to play it safe, use a screw driver..run it up along the panel and pull the screwdriver towards you. the clips will just pop out. don't be afraid to brake anything b/c they're just snap ons.

Once those are undone, push the panel UP to get it off but don't let go of it b/c its still held on to 2 clips - window lock/unlock clip, the window control clip, and the light bulb clip (I THINK there are only 2 clips but i forgot which ones of the above are the 2 clips but i know for sure the light bulb is one of them.) Back to your question, yes the panel has to come off for the grill to come off, they're attatched.

Once the whole panel is off, then the 4 screws to your speakers are exposed.

 

the door panels comes off with the grill... there are two screws in the upper part of the door... one behind the door handle to open the door.. and one in the well of the door handle to pull the door closed... make sure you remove those screws and then u should be able to pop off the door panel with ease... and yes, balla is right... roll your window all the way down first...
