Hey, I was wondering, what other car looks like our First Generation TL that isn't a Honda Inspire. This guy on cardomain calls his TL a Honda Saber. At first i was like "What???" does anyone know anything about it. Apperently he has hydraulics which is pretty cool. Check it out... heres the link... just click here...

I'm just curious because i plan on putting a two pump set up in my First Generation TL...

 

I know for the 2nd gen. cars, the Saber was the lower grade version of the Inspire. The exterior was basically the same except for the wheels. The interior was cloth instead of leather and the engine was a 200 hp 2.5L V6 instead of the 225 hp 3.2L V6. There may have been other detail differences but that's the gist of it. I'm sure the 1st gen. was similar.

 

Look @ the pic of him under the car, If i was running the hydrolics I think I would have to lower it till he is stuck and then take that ugly so so 80's car bra off.

 

the honda saber has the the yellow signals on the rear like the ones here.

 

that is funny.. were out here trying too make our cars look like japanese jdm with the inspire tails and the clear front bumper lights, and the honda emblems, and their out their making their cars into Acura's with the f#ed up tailights and yellow bumper lights...LOL.. that is hillarious...

i don't know about that, I'm pretty sure it still has the white ones. He has put USDM tails on his car. There's gotta be a way to set up a trade with ppl over there for tails, they like ours, we like theirs!!!

 

No TLxRaCeR is right!!! the sabers are the closest thing to our car in the states!! amber signals, even the design of the grill (inspires has the chrome strip running across the grill) with the exception of the side markers...

My bad!! Well that settles that....I wanna know ehere I can get that center control display unti though.....aftermarket deck would fit nicely below and remove the center screen to put in a/v system. Write some software to replace the controls for the HVAC system.....put it in an in-car pc wired to a new colour screen in the old one's place...HMMM....

 

We have had this discussion before. The saber was just the model that was for sale to other countries. The only difference is the clear lights front and back. Both inspire and saber had S trim options with the lip and stuff. I think that the S trim level had 195 hp, the lip, blacked out headlights and i think no sun roof or something like that. I saw that on a foreign used car web page. And i think that the S trim level was only for UA2's. The saber/inspire doesnt indicate lesser or greater quality though, just the styling preference. Hey I was wondering if anyone has found the JDM Grill that has the chrome around it and down the center... I know that Demons_Rage found a hell of a find with the JDM grill... click here to refer back to that thread... but it would be really cool to actually have the one with the chrome... If anyone's found it please post... would really help... i'll keep searching...
