Talk about cleaning systems, in the States, do you have high pressure oil change system? When the oil is drained, they hook up a hose and send high pressure oil into the engine and it removes gunks, sludges out of the oil channels and holes in the cams, cranks ,etc......I did it here and the car runs smooth as hell.

This past month I've been getting anywhere from 26 to 28 mpg. Low fuel light comes on anywhere from 350 miles to 400.

fuel tank float
I think there's a little trip switch in the fuel tank float that sends the low fuel idiot light signal. that switch could be faulty, could be a broken connection or the lamp itself could be bad.
that and the "lights on" beeper are my best friends!

Back when regular was around $1.80, then if "Plus" grade was $1.90 and premium was $2.00, then the mileage increase wasn't as much of a bargain as now, with prices around 3 dollars. Now it's a good trade-off - you get better performance and less frequent fill-up stops. I figgered some numbers out - this would make a good spreadsheet.
Given the following mpg boosts from regular 87 octane, which seems to be my city/hwy averages:
21 mpg with regular 87
22 mpg with plus 89
24 mpg with premium 93
Price increase ------------------- miles % boost for cost % increase
-------------------------------------------------------------------
1.80 to 1.90 = .947 = 5.3% --------- 4.5 for 5.3 - nope
1.80 to 1.88 = .957 = 4.3% --------- 4.5 for 4.3 - just barely...
2.80 to 2.90 = .966 = 3.4% --------- 4.5 for 3.4 - yep
-------------------------------------------------------------------
1.80 to 2.00 = .9 = 10% --------- 12.5 for 10 - yep
2.80 to 3.00 = .933 = 6.7% --------- 12.5 for 6.7 - hell yeah!
