Here's my HID Conversion
Sorry for the really late reply. They are E55's I believe. If I were to do it all over again, I would have gotten the TL's instead. Live and learn. I tried to go cheaper, but an extra $100.00 would have been totally worth it.
I also did a poor job of getting them lined up correctly. Just a little bit of rotation makes a big difference. They looked fine 15 feet away, but as you can see, the further you get, the more obvious the poor alignment becomes.
Here's mine...

Not trying to steal this thread....
I would suggest going to HIDPlanet.com. There you'll find all the info you'll ever need. I'm a total novice, so I don't want to give advice. However, the basics are:
remove headlights
separate clear lens from headlight housing
pick a projector that will fit in your headlight housing
cut a hole in the back of the headlight housing
mount the projector (many different ways to do this, be creative)
buy or make a shroud/bezel to cover the functional parts of the projectors (I used the top of a martini shaker for mine)
MAKE SURE THE PROJECTORS ARE LINED UP GOOD BEFORE YOU MAKE YOUR FINAL ADJUSTMENTS
replace the front lens and seal her up really good
purchase or make a wire harness
find a dry place to mount your ballasts (and) igniters.
Hook it all up and pray.
Like I said, go to the above mentioned website and learn as much as you can. I spent 4 months reading in my spare time before I decided to tackle this project. My car was out of service for about 2 week (waiting for paint and epoxy to cure). Glad I had alternate transportation. If you are mechanically savvy, and have a full weekend to work on this, you could probably get her done in that much time.
