you just want to change the speakers? the fronts are easy. just take off the front door panels. the rears bolt in from the underside of the rear deck. the biotch part is fastening the rear grille covers back in. mine are still just 'on' but not fastened.

Nah nah nah, this guy though at circuit city told me that since the bose system amps each speaker seperately I would have to take out all the speakers and then amp them seperately...which would cost way too much, I just want to do a couple, how can i do this without removing everything?

you basically cant do it, hate to say it, but its simple electronics. maybe Bose makes high performance upgrade speakers you can use? beats the **** outta me, otherwise you have to do what circuit city says, Bose is a *****. (but its not like Bose sounds bad, are you looking to make your car white trash type loud?)

u may be able to remove all the speakers and stuff then just get the installer to put in a line-level converter. from there run it into the amp(s). then to the aftermarket speakers. 2bills is a tight budget though.

the factory HU should be basic. does yers have a tape player too? if so, then you may have the same HU as i do. it may have outboard amps and different speakers, which is where you would want to start when improving the quality of sound.
