Help finding a new rear bumper

Well, I accidently backed into my girlfriends car the other night. We were at my house and I pulled out of the garage, closed it, and went to keep going, not realizing that she had parked in the driveway for the first time because of a possible parking ban. Damn New England winters.

Anyways, the paint was already cracking from the previous owner, and the bumper has a series of cracks in it (paint all still there though) from them too. But once I hit her car, all the paint that was cracked chipped off.

Would a good body shop be able to repair where the bumper is cracked all the way through, or should I look into buying a new/used one and having it painted?

If I do look into buying one, new from dealerships seems to be from $425-$550 for the bumper cover, but I don't want to spend that much at all. http://www.acuraautomotiveparts.org/ has a pretty good price ($43x.xx I believe). I figure I could possibly find one in a junkyard to a car that had front end damage where the rear bumper is alright. Anyone happen to know where there is one hanging out?

I just don't want to have the bumper painted, and leave it cracked. That is such a half assed job and it would annoy me every time I went to wax it.

Well this is the exact price it cost me to fix my car $878.03, I got a brand new oem bumper cover, few clips and screws. Had it painted and installed for 878 bucks. The bumper was $512.68. The guy at the dealership was like this is one of the most expensive bumper cover I've seen.

I'll get pictures when I can. I have been tied up with school, truancy court, and work recently, and the weather has most of the damage covered up in dirt/snow and the like. Once it gets a wash though, I'll get some pictures.

I could probably install it myself, a good paint shop would be willing to paint it like that correct?

Yes. Paint first, then install the bumper.

Alright, pictures of the damage. And some explinations. The damage in the center of the bumper was there when I bought the car. The paint spiderwebbing/cracking on the right side was there when I bought the car, its very similar to how the corner I hit looked. The bumper never lined up quite right, but is a bit worse now, you can see it from the left side.

from the photos, it seems like that is repairable.. the reason why the bumper might not be aligned correctly is probably the clip that is located near the bottom of your tail lamps..

Yup, that is the problem, it is the U shaped clip that a screw goes through and holds it into place, I looked at it from underneith the car. The only problem is that the clip didn't slide out from the screw, the whol clip is just ripped off, so its like this reall short stubby "U" without enough for the screw to grab.
