mines would dim/go out, i replaced the bulbs and solved the prob. In replacing, i saw that the drivers side wiring looked frayed or burnt from the previous owner, along with a clip being broken, I thought that might affect performance too.

Do they dim a bit at a stop? Might be your battery or alternator.

do you have a stereo system? does it dim whenever a bass hits? if so, you'll need a capacitor. you also might want to check your battery...it could be low.

I think it is prolly the fan kicking in. It draws power for a bit then turns off. I noticed mine dim a tiny bit when my fan turns on.
