Ok, so I want some new headlights. I just don't feel that $350+/each is reasonable. I drive a 96 TL not a 2010 TL. I've seen what craigslist, ebay, and local salvage places have to offer and most are in the exact same shape mine are in. I want crystal clear lenses. So if anyone knows where I coud find some more reasonably priced lights please let me know. (I've tried to buff them but it hasn't helped out like I thought it would.)
usually wet sanding and buffing them with the 3M plastix works very well... did you properly follow the directions for the wetsanding??? my first time, it didn't look like it did much either but that was because i was lazy on the sanding.... try it again...
personally, i am going to have to find a replacement headlight because all of the clips broke and the headlight is no longer secure... FML...

I think you're saying you want one that has no diffuser and is just chrome with a bulb showing. It makes the car look cheap because essentially that's what the "Euro-clear" corners for Civics are.

well what i want is for my lens to look brand new. I have a friend that has an IS300 and another friend that has a 745. Both friends paid between $350 - 470 for their lights (brand new). The swap made a world of difference and thats the look i want. I want factory or at least some really clean lenses.
Oh, I thought you meant the side diffuser piece. A headlight restoration would definitely be cheaper than replacing, and if it's done right it'll be night and day. Here's one my friend did:

It was just sanding and polishing. My other friend sanded then cleared on his Supra and it's held up very well over the years. I found some pictures of when I did my old headlights:

Really? Ok so I just need to get someone to do it for me bc I don't have patience when it comes to wet sanding clear that is peeling. Thanx
They charge from $60 to $120 to do a set, and like everything else, there are guys who know what they're doing and guys who don't. It would be worth it to pay the guy a bit more for quality work.
