head light issues

Unfortunately in December of 03 I hit a very large deer. 1 month and $5000 dollars later I finally got my car back. Ever since then, a head light last only a few months at best before it blows.
Today I replaced my drivers side headlight, and it was out by the night time. Is this in correlation to the accident, or has anyone else had headlight problems in the older model TLs. (97 3.2)
Thanks for any help you can give me.

It could be a problem with the accident, some sort of electrical problem that is sending the light too much current, causing it to blow? Does it shine brighter then the other one without the problem?

Yeah, the super white bulbs never last as long as the normal Halogens, but a couple of months to not even ONE DAY is a little extreme. Ther's probably either a short or some other kind of electrical problem. Do you have a decent voltmeter and ammeter that you can run some quick tests to check the voltage and current draw of the light?

As a matter of fact cornflake, I do use the super blue lights. I find that the actually do help me see better at night (poor night vision, guess that is why I hit the deer in the first place). But I do not have a voltmeter and ammeter to run test with.
In response to UnsanePyro, the Driver side bulb does burn brighter than the passenger side.
So I guess in either instance you are both right. Thank you for the input!!!

It could also be something wrong with the housing of the head light assembly, allowing the light bulb to bounce too much and cause it to physically break the filament.

However, that's just a suggestion. I agree it's probably an electrical short.

Good thought wackjum....that is entirely possible.
