It's basically a fuel system cleaner. I use the Lucas Racing one, and the add-on that BG recommends is like the fuel tablets I got from Japan that you throw into your gas tank. I can't remember the name and I can't seem to find it online... It was called G'Rex or G'Rox or something like that. They sponsored a Fairlady Z for some race circuit, I can't recall which. I'll see if I can go back to the auto shop to find those tabs.

Oh....just like them dangling chain looking thing you hang inside your gas tank....to get good mileage. Or those Negative Ion Magnets you put around your intake and exhaust pipe to get good mileage and 15 extra hp's !

I dont believe in those things....I only believe in avgas ( aviation gasoline) to boost serious power....just like in the Philippines. They sell AVGAS at regular gas stations for the weekend racers.

I dont mean to be a smart-ass but.....too many car "performance enhancers" going around.

Especially with the rising costs of fuel, hehe. Everyone and their mom has been coming up with solutions for more power/less fuel consumption. I admit, it is possible in theory if you boost the efficiency of your engine, resulting is cleaner burn and getting the most energy converted from gasoline (read: less energy lost as heat). But do you think that a small additive would be better than all the engineers who developed these engines?

All I can say is that I have used this BG Fuel System cleaner and it really works.

My 91 Maxima's engine light had turned on so we had driven on 93 Octane (super unleaded) gas for 2 tanks and it still did not go away. We then replaced all 6 fuel injection's and it went away for about 6 onths and then came back (boy was I pissed for spending so much money).

So I tried this BG Fuel System cleaner (44k Enhancer) since this is what the dealers use to clean out fuel injection systems. I put that into the gas tank and filled it up with 93 octane. Within one gas tank, the engine light disappeared!!!

So to me, I really believe in this.

But specifically this one? I'm sure that quite a few others would've done the job. I'm willing to give it the benefit of the doubt, though, as my friend had an Accord that couldn't go past 40 MPH. After adding "some blue stuff" as he called it, he was able to take it to 105 after driving around for about a quarter tank. Not saying that it rocketed to 105, but it was able to go there... (after 3 minutes of flooring).

I doubt the others would have worked. This BG is really strong stuff. Why do you think the dealerships use it? I tried it and it worked. I ordered the BG 44K Power Enhancer in the tin can. I was so happy that I bought 3 to 5 more in a bulk buy from EBAY.

Hmm... If so, I'm down to use it then. After 212,000 miles, I'm thinking it could use a bit of cleaning, hehe. BTW, I found the name of the add-on that I had used in my Accord. It's called Gigas and here's a few promo pics from the company that makes it:

At one of the last 3 Japan Centers (Japantowns) in the US. I bought it at the San Francisco one. It's sad that there are only three left, all in California, two within an hour's drive from each other.

Thanks, but I'm on the other side of the country. There's no online store to order it from? I found a place on the website but it was a service station and they won't sell it to me instead they want to rip me off just to pour some cleaner in my tank.
