my friend and i are going to check out at 2.5 TL with 210,000 km its the 5 cylinder, what should we look for and what questions should we ask the guy whos is selling the car, we are leaving in like 25 minutes so please give some advice thanks acurazine.

Maintenance and if everything is up to par.

 

especially the head hasket!! look for any white or blue smoke from the exhaust.. drive it and pay attention to any rough shifting.. and run the AC cold

Yea we went, the smoke i didn't check but i knew it from before just forgot to pay attention to it, well the car was ok condition on outside, couple scratches, but when we were driving it it kicked back then floored once and kept popping back when rpms were high enough, there was weird noise coming from the back like from wheels something, engine sounded ok i guess, first time i was checking out a 5 cylinder and it was pretty noisy, ii have the 3.2 first gen mine is quiet as a mouse. Overall it didn't feel too well, now were looking at Infiniti I30's 96-99 any advice on those?

 

^ just get an I35 and i got a 5 cylinder and you cant tell when its on.. something was wrong with that car.

 

It is most likely the exhaust manifold crack. Yeah the 5 cylinder is very rough during shifting, but I got used to it. How much they was asking for it?

 

2500 that was best price we could have talked him down to, with safety & emission

Cant get I35 cause its too expensive, I30 is good price tho and its nice engine and its very roomy inside, more room then the TL i think even. Overall for 3 grand i don't think there are better vehicles too look at, if you can think of something let me know your opinions.
