so i guess that means that the bumper is completely secure and did u check the hood??? maybe the grill is slightly outta place or the hood is not even... that may be it...

I was in an accident last year, over $12 000 damage :yack: The insurance agent would not write off the car. It was a head on collision, my fender, suspension hood and front bumper were replaced. I also noticed a gap between the bumper and hood. After taking a closer look I noticed the body shop had replaced my 3.2 bumper with a 2.5, later they replaced it with the proper bumper and the gap is almost gone. I would check the year and model for the hood and bumper just in case of minor differences ...also check to see if the parts are "Acura" (not that I'm a Label Licker) there are other aftermarket, cheaper brand names that may have minor differences ( my first hood was made by some collision part deal?) Good luck!

Check to see if your radiator support is bent or something, my friend had this problem on his Accord.

I had an accident where I ran into the guy in front of me. I thought he had gone, but was still waiting for traffic to clear. As a result, the gap between my bumper and hood/light opened up about 1/2". There is a reinforcing bar that runs horizontally about the top of the bumper height and after twisting that up, the gap tightened back to stock. That may be your situation.

I took off the fender bolts (on the right side for my problem) that is in the wheel-well and gently pulled the fender out and forward. This exposes a metal frame that the top of the bumper clips on to. I took a crow bar and make a fulcrum using a 2x4 under the crow bar to pry up the metal frame. Be careful not to touch the bumper bacause you don't want to scrape the paint. I bent the frame up slightly and now the bumper fits perfectly up against the light housing.
