Footwell Lighting

I'm trying to put some cold cathode lights under the dash to light up the footwell. I've seen the other threads concerning this but they are all for the 2nd gens. All I need to know is which wires I need to tap to have them come on with the door lights or the dome light.

And just to throw another one in there...since we're talking about lighting and wiring, how do you get it so your fog lights turn on when your parking lights are on, instead of having to have the headlights on????

I found a post regarding your question:

Fog lights come on without headlights on.

1. Take off the big panel under the dash, its 2 philips screws on the bottom edge and the top has clips that you have to pull off gently. When you look under the dash, you'll see like 3 bundles of wires tied together.
2. Its the only bundle that has a red & blue wire in it. Once you find it, grab the red wire with little silver dots on it and the red wire with the blue stripe, and splice with a "quick splice connector."

Hope this helps

do you know which one is the trigger, cuz there are 2 wires goin to the lights. One is green with a red stripe and the other is white with a blue stripe. I'm guessing on of these is the trigger but I don't know which one. Where can I find it under the dash, I found them by following the cables from the door. I think I've got everything I need now except I don't know which is the trigger. If you could tell me what color the trigger is that would save me a lot of time and hassle. If enough people want to know how to do it, I'll make a DIY or Power Point on it. Thanx

ok, I wired it into the door light, the only problem is that it only lights up when the passenger door is open. I need to wire it into the dome light. where can I find the dome light wire somewhere under the dash?
