mmm the dash kit was a bitch for me too. i tried 3 different ones and i dont think there's one out there that perfectly fits into our openings. i had to take a small dremel tool and shave the outside of the dash kit to make it fit perfectly. it still doesn't sit perfect but it's good enough. and i would definitely get a mounting sleeve, it'll help to keep the head unit secure.

Do what I did in our Escape: EXTRA 12V CIG HOLES. We put in an additional 3 cigarette lighter plugs along with a voltometer to make sure we didn't have too much drain. Then underneath we put two 110V AC plugs and in the rear another two ACs and one DC cig plug. The fronts could handle 400W stable, and the rear was 1000W. Unfortunately, we've since removed the 110V plugs and used them for something else.
~Cheers~
