extended 150k emission warranty. Thank you.

I just wanted to say thank you to the posters who repsonded to my recent emissions issue. My 96 TL 2.5 (purchased 7/95) did qualify for the extended 150k warranty. W/ the check engine light going on at 144K, I took it to the Acura dealer and got the front O2 senor replaced, a full tune up with wires, cap plugs, rotor, oil change, filter, ignition kit and car wash.

Well thanks, y'all save me about $600.00.

The old girl runs great. I might keep her another nine years. I'm talking about the TL.

Thanks again.

i had by o2 sensor replaced at 103k and paid around $900 for it (although that also included tmeing belt and other stuff). Can I get reimbursed ofr something that long ago...I had no idea at the time that the o2 sensor was covered under the emissions warranty and it pisses me off to think that i could have got it done for free. Unfortunately i didn't perform the service at the acura dealer and instead got it done elsewhere. I may be able to fish out the receipts etc. but do i stand a chance of getting a refund?

No, has to be done at the time of service at an Acura dealership only.

Also $900 is about the medium price for an acura dealership to change the timing belt, I got a quote as high as $1,048.00 before I paid about half as much at a reputable mechanic

Lucky, who ever gets that... i got a quote at my 130,000 mile mark (40,000 miles ago) lol... and the dealer gave me the same quote for the timeing belt, etc... about $1,100.00 to $1,300.00 ... oh well, my motor is still running strong...

Future Referance: if you guys ever hear my engine quit on me... remind me that it's the timeing belt...
