Exhaust system replacement - Help

My '96 3.2TL exhaust system is rusted out, including the catalytic converter. I priced parts for a replacement system with OEM parts at ~$1500 :
$825: Catalyitc converter (18151-P5G-A00)
$275: Muffler (18030-SZ5-C00)
$150: Pipes (18220-SZ5-C01)
$150: Covers (18181-P5G-A01, 18182-P5G-A00)
$100: Other supplies

The car is 14 years old and I want to run it for another 3 years, but don't want to put $1500 into the exhaust system .

I don't live in California and want to keep the emissions legal even though there are no inspections in my state.

Does anybody have experience an after market exhaust system parts? Where do you get them?

just because it is rusted doesn't mean you have to replace the whole thing... we live in areas of snow so with the salt, it is natural to have everything under our car rusted to hell...

if it is just rusted but everything is working fine, then i would leave it... if you are throwing codes due to a dead cat, i would find an aftermarket cat for a few hundred bucks... if your muffler or the piping broke, just change those components... go aftermarket is cheaper...
