are engine mounts grease filled?
are engine mounts grease filled?
On my 2.5 TL the engine side mount is shot. I found the top nut loose, i could loosen it with my fingers. That what the rattling was when i used to hit small bumps at low speed. And I would get a rough idle. I torqued the nut and everything improved greatly. Not as much rattle and vibration has substantialy dropped at idle.
I noticed the rubber boot part torn and green grease all along where the axle goes into the differential. Is this from the engine mount? Are they grease filled?
Anyways, a brand new one costs about 350 bucks! The 3.2TL has more options on Ebay. I couldnt find any for the 2.5TL.
Any suggestions on how to avoid buying a new one for 350?
Thanks
