egr valve

got a quick ? Check engine light came on - ran code and got "Insufficient flow to EGR valve" This would be covered under 150k/14 year emissions warranty right?

is ur <1998??? ... it should don't see why not... otherwise it will cost u like 300$ to clean out the EGR valve..

sorry bout that, forgot to metnion year. yeah mines a 96 3.2. i got the free tune-up thing done about a month ago, so the warranty does apply to my car. just wanted to make sure that egr would be covered.

Yeah. I had the exact same problem a few days ago so I took it to the dealer and they fixed it for free. In addition, they washed my car too!!

You may have seen this on some earlier posts regarding the EGR valve. My one experience with "EGR insufficient flow" (p0409, if I remember right) is that the EG passages get dirty and have to be cleaned. I posted when I went thru this earlier this year.
