Dubz on first generations
Yes it is true! All first generation TL's 2.5 and 3.2 can fit 20" rims. The required tire size is 245/40/20 with 20 X 8.5 rims. I plan to purchase a set of Limited 800's for the Spring 02'. I found a set on Ebay for $1,375.00. Once you mount dubz, there is no need to lower your car. Keep your original, smooth suspension. I have seen a couple of TL's in KC that were rolling on dubs with no problemo. I also saw a Legend that had set of 20's on it. The owner of the Legend said that "he rolled his rear fenders". There is a 2001 Acura CL in my hometown with dubz on it also. For all those who wanna stand tal, dubz is the way to go. Check out these cool web sites:

1.) 20 x8.5 , either you have a very high offset on those rims or they will be stickin out monster truck-style. Try looking for an 8 or better with a 7.5. If 8.5's do fit though, hook me up cause i have an eye on 8.5 rims but i doubt they will fit.
2.) 245/40/20 , definate rubbage. Way to fat. 40% of 245mm eeeya
3.) And no usually 20's do not go on 4 lugs, unless they were custom drilled to fit 4 lugs. 1 less lug makes it unsafe for such a big rim, i think

very very true. 245 40 20 is a big ass tire. 20-s will fit tl s but u need a high offset and a 30 series tire good luck unless your getting hre-s custom made. trust me i know i have tried my best friend has a rim shop and 19 is all i was able to do

20 inch rims will work on our car. i was over my ex girlfriends house the other day getting brake pads put on by her step father, and i was telling him about this post. he said he has a friend that has 20's o a 97 2.5TL like my car. he then said he would call him over to show me, he came thru and its true. i saw them with my own 2 eyes, His rims were not zennetti, but they were 20, i forgot the exact measurment, but they were a whole lotta rubber!!!!....and they looked bangin!!!!!!!..
..now can i speak on something thas starting to urk the sh*t outta me on here
i have noticed this for awhile . apparently there are a few so called know it all on here . you post something, they automatically shoot it down, hollering no, with no information or real knowledge to back them up...two word {SHUT UP!} I really
wish those of you and you know who you are would not slam others ideas and post without truly knowing what you are talking about. Some dude was on here laying out steps on jus why 20's would never fit, not even a week later i see 20's on our car, , man jus be quiet if you are not sure. i mean take a look at our wheel wells, , and jus look and sooner you will think , hey why wouldn't it work, the wheel wells are huge, especially the front....
.................... some people on here i am sure, really listen to others post, and if you are firing off no no no, then you may sway someone away from something that actually does work. that would never b me, becasue i have to see sh&t first, i never go by hear say.. but damn some of you are really proven this as a golden rule. So again for all the 20 haters on here!!!

For me I still think Standard 20"s wouldn't fit on a TL or any Acura for that matter... U would probably have to roll your fenders or get the rims customized... The guy u saw with the 20's was his car lowered? What was the size of his tires?... Good luck on your 20's search because if the rims are not well known u might have a hard & expensive time replacing them. I'de stick w/ 19's to be on the safe side..

I just think that it's funny how a simple post about 20" rims turns into a argument. then about who's car is better. i have to give DBox props though. his car is dope. plus the fact that he is rollin 19-z and no one else is, and it's a 3.2. post some pics with it lowered. can't wait to see it. as for KK939, you better come with it cause you are talking some mad **** bout your ride being better. your pics should be a seperate post and you should put a poll on there for us to compare and vote. just a suggestion though.

thanx KK939. i'm just here tryin to keep the peace. can't be havin all this drama on the board. we are all TL members and we shouldn't be bickering about who's car is better. there are a lot of people out there that don't have cars and would love to have one like us. so that is why i think that it's kinda stupid to argue over something like this. we will all be anxiously awaiting the pics. post them soon!!
