on BOTH driver and passenger side windows, i have a vertical "scratch" from top to bottom. its not actually a scratch but you can definitely tell that something is rubbing against the windows from within the doors itself. does anyone have this problem and what causes it?

 

yup i've had that problem. you can see it when the car is very dirty. i think there was a service bulletin for our car.

WAS A RECALL BUT ONLY IF UR STILL UNDER FACTORY WARRANTY.

I have that dam problem too.... I took my tl in 3 freakn times already......4th time this coming up monday... for the same dam window (driver side)..... I had waranty before they gave me new windows too... now its all scratched up again... (pissd).... so i guess this Monday i got to go in and give them the old one two punch..... mayb a following right uppercut to finish the move.... i hope i can get it through there head this time.... its wasting to much time (buzy schedule)...... I even talkd to the Owner of Acura once.... the workers have No idea what the hell is wrong with it.... we need a demand on these dam windows..... we need to really annoy them about this situation so they might just say what the hell....mayb a recall..? hahaa..

my driver side window only screaches when its wet (after rain or car wash)
but other than that, its ok

heck i'll just drive with my windows down from now on

 

The windows are so annoying. Thats the only thing I HATE about first gen TLs.

getting deeper with time - was a wear now actual scratches in glass at an angle.

The window is scaping along something when it goes down.

Can you give me some info on the recall?

Want to stuff it in service manager's mouth because they should have taken care of it before rather than wait and hope you say nothing till your warranty runs out.

 

lol..... so true... I think it is so wrong.... really really upset... havent heard anything about a recall... Hopfully someday they will... Acura needs to support us on this issue...

It won't affect the tint becuase the scratches are on the outside but when you have tint the scratches stand out alot more.

Well today is the day I turn in my car for service..... its for that dam window problem again. 4th time already.... on a roll... let u know what they say..
