I had a question about a wire that I found that is disconnected. It's under my hood right by the hood latch, and it looks like it goes to the horn. I'm thinking it's maybe my factory alarm, since it has an aftermarket remote starter installed on the car. I bought it like this and I want to know what that wire is. Does anyone know or have access to a diagram so I can figure it out. I would just plug it in, but whoever did that took a spare wire and looped the plug that looks like it grounds to the latch? I didn't want to unplug it an have a horn blaring in my ear.

 

Easiest way to identify the wire is use the wire color and a wiring diagram to trace the wire. It could be a hood switch for the alarm that was removed. A shop manual is necessary.
