differential fluid capacity????

Hi guys,
I am a newbie on this board and had a couple of questions. I was changing the differential fluid on my 96 2.5 TL today and was only able to refill only 20 oz into the refill hole.
Am I looking at the wrong hole to refill from? The drain plug was at the bottom and the refill plug seems to be a bigger nut facing towards the front bumper a little bit higher. Does this sound right?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
John

Welcome to the boards, John! I hope you'll find this site very helpful.

The fluid capacity for your differential is approximately 1 quart. From what I see in the service manual, the drain plug is facing the floor and the filler plug is on the side. If you can feel the fluid at the bottom of the fill hole, then you should be fine. I hope this helps.
