create your own car emblem

thought a few of you might find this handy. might be cool to make it a sticky on the other forums (2nd gen, 3rd gen) as well under whatever appropriate section.

It's prettymuch just roughed in there right now, wanted to see if it would hold in there how I was hoping, got a good deal of work ahead of me with it, but it will look nice.

Second pic shows how much I had to cut away up top to get it in there like that, had to cut away at the bottom too.

so since you're flush mounting it does that mean you're making it come all the way to the front lip of the top and bottom and filling in the sides or are you keeping the "hood" so to speak.

Well, it's not truely flush, it sit's back the smallest bit, less than 1/4in I would say.

My first one had a huge hook on it, I extended it about an inch farther back than stock.

You can see in the second picture how I cut the hood.
