Question Crankcase hose? oil drip

I have a 1996 TL 3.2 that I recently purchased. Great car, etc. I noticed a hose connected to the passenger side bottom block( crankcase?) that runs up to top of engine and just stops--hose has open hole that oil is dripping out...The hose runs thru two white clips and then that is it--where is the hose suppose to connect to--I can't find a loose hose anywhere and it is driving me crazy--too say the least. Hmmm... I have noticed several hoses... well really just one hose that was not connected to anything... Mine does not leak oil though. If it is part of the PCV or breather system it is possible your PCV valve is clogged or your breather system is bad and that is what would be causing oil to skeet out of that hose... just a theory... I had hella problems with my PCV system on my Jeep doing that.

Fixed Problem

Was the differential hose--that is suppose to vent in pressure/air. However, it is not suppose to be leaking out the 90 W oil...the REASON, the dealership PUT TOO MUCH oil in it...which caused it to blow out...They did this at the 75,000 mileage service..Something so simple--that a little attention and detail would have prevented...

Yeah, mechanics at dealerships usually are not that intelligent. Glad you got it fixed!
