Thumbs up Close call

Well, I wake up this morning and there is snow all over the ground and its snowing hardcore. I see that I have a new voicemail on my phone. It was my brother. He says "Bro, umm, yeah, here's the story. Mom and dad told me to take the acura to work today since the tires on my truck are bald. And yeah, the car is in a ditch."
:wow:
So I immediately start to panic. I'm like "WTF!!!!@!$@$#%$@"
The message continues...

"But everything is OK. Well, except for the headlights...just kidding. Seriously, everything is cool. There's just a little grass under the car. I was going 20mph and the roads weren't plowed and next thing I know I'm sliding into a ditch. Oh man, I was lucky...the car came millimeters from hitting a telephone pole. What sucks is that it cost $175 to get pulled out. How much does that suck? AAA wouldn't cover it. Call me when you get this message"

So, it was a hell of a way to send me off to class when it is snowing and I'm farkin' tired as hell. Sorry, but I had to rant. I'm just glad my baby is in one peice...

Whew

It helps somewhat, but when the back end slides, you want TCS so you can spin the front tires to help steer the car, otherwise, TCS takes over and you cant get much control. Its only purpose is to help not spin the tires, and with FWD, it doesnt really matter, its the back end you need to learn to control. My car does great in the snow, everytime Ive gone sidways, ive regained control quickly. ABS helps alot, and so does the powerful brakes and the heavier weight that the TLs have.

Daaaaamn that was VERY close to the pole. You got very lucky. Cause that woulda been an expensive repair if he had been going any faster.

I should consider my brother blessed b/c his nuts would be in a vice right now...haha...but yeah, my one friend tells me "this just proves you need to ditch that acura and drive the much safer all weather vehicle... the nissan skyline" and my other friend "damage is merely an excuse to make [your car] better"...I do feel lucky though....
