Check Engine Light
I have 59K and over the weekend, the check engine light came on.
I have checked my gas tank cover and re-tightened it many times and the light is still on.
I would reset it, by unhooking the battery, but what if it comes back?
Might as well take it to the dealer, I have the extended warranty anyway.
But some of new might have some ideas, it is just a bear to go to the dealership.
Any comments, suggestions welcome.
Thanks.

Man those check engine lights have been a pain for everyone on this board it seems. Every week there's a new threat entitled "Check Engine Light" I guess that's why there's an extended warranty on emissions because it's obviously a common problem.
Note to moderators. Maybe you should consider putting a permanent "Check Engine Light" post at the top of the page.

when you tighten your cap, it takes at least 3 trips before it turns off. you can't just tighten it and expect it to turn off right then and there. give it couple of trips and then see how it turns out. also, check your air filter. if its dirty, change it. when air filter gets dirty and filthy, not enough or no oxygen is getting into your engine, therefore resulting from bad gas mileage and loss of hp.

O2 Sensor
Took it to the dealer.
O2 Sensor replaced under warranty.
Free car wash, spanking clean!
But, my passenger door lock is acting up, giving me this crunching noise every time I lock the door....
Another trip to the dealership!
Thanks for the extended warranty! Cost me $1500 though!

Im sure that $1500 will pay for itself soon. I had my 02 sensor replaced. $255 for parts and like $160 for labor. I have a 98 so it didnt fall under the warranty. $160 for labor and it only took the F*cker like 20 mins to install the damn thing, everything worked out in the end and i payed less, but it still cost a lot.
