Cabin Filter
Cabin Filter
anyone on here ever changed their cabin filter??? when the a/c turns off the inside smells like crap and mold and mildew... i need like directions to try and change the cabin filter... if not just the possible area where i can find the filter itself and ill just try to get it open.. if it makes a difference i have a 3.2 thanks guys...
hey kamlung usualy its not the cabin filter thatll be the problem... usually its the evaporator itself...but if you wanna change the filter you gotta remove the glove box then the plastic frame around the hole in the dash where the glove box mounts then there is a little plastic panel that you have to cut off to get to the filter ...really easy actually....but one thing you can try to get rid of the odor is to run your ac on fresh then spray ozium or something like it through your fresh air ducts under the hood
oops just saw it was a first gen tl....pull the glove box then there is a metal piece in between your blower motor case and the evap housing(if i remember correctly)that is held on by two screws...remove this piece and the filter should be right behind it
